eiRNA (expressed interfering RNA) is an approach to RNAi therapeutics, whereby a plasmid DNA coding for desired dsRNA is delivered to diseased cells enabling the cells to carry out dsRNA production internally thereby invoking the RNAi response against a targeted disease causing gene.
